1.Xora announced $4M in Series B funding. The company's software extends access to enterprise software applications to mobile workers through a variety of mobile devices. Xora's customers are providing sales people, delivery people, installers, service professionals, etc. with access to such applications as Siebel, Amdocs-Clarify, Remedy, SAP, Oracle Applications, MS Exchange and Lotus Notes. With production deployments within Global 3000 companies, and partnerships with Motorola, Amdocs, AT&T Wireless, Siebel and IBM, Xora is in a strong position to be a leader in this strategic emerging market.
2. Danger announced recently that it secured $35 million in fourth round financing. The round was led by Softbank Capital Partners and Meritech Capital Partners. Existing investors, including Mobius Venture Capital, Redpoint Ventures, and Venture Strategy Partners, also participated in the round. Danger has now raised more than $77 million and believes it will achieve positive cash flow and profitability without additional financing. The new funds will be applied in scaling Danger's business operations to accommodate multiple wireless-carrier customers on a global basis. Danger is currently working with T-Mobile USA, and has plans to announce additional wireless-carrier customers during 2003.
