Starent Networks, Tewskbury, MA
Received $23M in third round from Samsung Electronics, Matrix Partners, North Bridge Venture Partners, and Highland Capital Partners. Starent makes network hardware for next-generation wireless services.

FHP Wireless, San Mateo, CA
Received $8.3M in third round from Voyager Capital. FHP Wireless supplies systems used to build metro-scale Wi-Fi networks (WMANs). 

Peregrine Semiconductor, San Diego, CA
Received $7.5M in first round add-on from Morgenthaler Ventures. Peregrine makes integrated circuits for wireless networks.

IXI Mobile, Redwood City, CA
Received $6M in third round add-on from China Development Industrial Bank and Intel Communications Fund

IXI Mobile provides a platform and software for the rapid development of new low-cost mobile devices.

Xora, Mountain View, CA
Received $4M in second round from SoundView Ventures

Xora designs and develops enterprise email and PIM applications for mobile professionals like sales people that incorporate existing applications from Oracle, IBM, SAP, and MS Exchange.

Columbitech, Stockholm, Sweden
Received undisclosed amount as strategic investment from Mobile Internet Capital (a DoCoMo company). Columbitech develops security software for wireless access to corporate data.
