Central Parking Selects Nexterna's Real-Time Field Service Solution
Omaha (Neb.) April 8, 2003 - Nexterna, Inc. announced that Central Parking Corporation has selected the Nexterna Clearview solution to manage its field service operations. Central Parking Corporation is the leading provider of parking and transportation-related services, operating approximately 3,900 parking facilities containing approximately 1.6 million spaces throughout North America, South America, Europe and Asia.
Nexterna Clearview will be tightly integrated with Central Parking's accounting system, providing consistent view and control of all service related information to all functions involved. "Using Nexterna Clearview will enable us to streamline our operations and realize greater efficiencies throughout the organization", said Henry Rodriguez, Director of Engineering Services for Central Parking. "The system will increase our ability to accurately account for chargeable services, keep track of multiple levels of inventory locations, and eliminate redundant data entry."
Central Parking's field maintenance personnel will access the Nexterna Clearview system using Itronix's handheld device. "Integrated field communications capabilities was one of the reasons we selected the Nexterna solution", added Henry Rodriguez. "Having real-time access to information from the field will provide greater visibility into the status of service work orders and increase our ability to maintain high level of service at our facilities."
"We continue to see growing demand for real-time service capabilities among leading service organizations in a broad cross-section of industries," said Mike Hedge, Senior Vice President at Nexterna. "We are excited to provide Central Parking Corporation with a solution that will enable them to step forward in this direction."
