1. Forty two per cent of European mobile phone users are interested in 3G services, according to the 3G 2003 report, carried out in 10 countries.

2. DoCoMo trials 4G
NTT DoCoMo announced plans for a field trial of a fourth-generation (4G) mobile communications system in Yokosuka, Kanagawa Prefecture, where a DoCoMo R&D center is located.

3. Megapixel camera phone
NTT DoCoMo announced they will begin marketing the mova SO505i, the world's first camera phone equipped with a 1.3-megapixel (effective resolution) CCD camera.

4. NTT DoCoMo announced the FOMA N2701, the first dual-network handset that works both with DoCoMo's 2G and 3G networks.
