1. TestQuest, Inc., a vendor
of functional test automation tools for wireless devices, introduced its TestQuest Interface for Symbian OS. The new interface provides connectivity between the TestQuest Pro test system and Symbian OS-based phones to automate "black box" testing.
The TestQuest solution acts like a virtual user, controlling and verifying the phone's operation using any of the phone's available communication transports.
The TestQuest Interface for Symbian OS is available for Series 60 phones and will be available for Symbian v7.0-based UIQ User Interface. Emulators may also be used in lieu of the physical device.
This second generation of TestQuest's interface uses serial, IR or Bluetooth transports, providing faster testing and the ability to simultaneously test a large number of Symbian OS-based phones with a single TestQuest Pro system.
