MobileInfo Comments and Advisory: Smart
home market could be huge in future. But it won't stay protected for
Sony and HP. HP has the overall IT expertise to develop
inter-connected appliances and home devices in a network. Sony can
create the devices but does not know how to build networks. However,
Sony can purchase a smaller niche company that it does not have.
There are a number of niche players here and there are other big
players who will enter this market, including the appliance makers.
