1. Kineto Wireless closes $24M second round
WLAN network roaming start-up Kineto Wireless has secured $24 million in second round financing led by 3i, Sutter Hill Ventures, and Venrock Associates, with participation from Mitsui & Company Venture Partners, SeaPoint Ventures, and Storm Ventures. Kineto Wireless develops network technology that allows Mobile over Wireless LAN (MoWLAN) roaming. MoWLAN technology boosts indoor cellular network coverage by allowing cellular subscribers to use their mobile phones through indoor WLAN networks.

2. Engim Raises $18,500,000 in Second Round [Menlo Park, CA] 
Engim is a fabless semiconductor firm developing system-on-chip technology for broadband wireless communications solutions.

3. Amalfi Semiconductor Raises $12,000,000 in First Round [Los Gatos, CA] 
Amalfi Semiconductor is a fabless semiconductor company developing cost effective, low power mixed-signal RF solutions for wireless applications.
INVESTORS: Doll Capital Management, Trinity Ventures

4. SkyCross Raises $10,500,000 in Second Round [Melbourne, FL] 
SkyCross develops new antenna and RF technology for the wireless telecommunications, telematics, and mobile computing markets.
INVESTORS: BancBoston Capital Ventures (Lead), BAE Systems, Investment Partners of Orlando

5. WiDeFi Raises $1,500,000 in Seed Financing Round [Satellite Beach, FL] 
WiDeFi develops enhancements to wireless networks that improve range, performance, quality of service (QoS), capacity and security.
INVESTORS: Band of Angels, CampVentures, Inflexion, Village Ventures

6. Mobixell Networks Raises $5,000,000 in First Round [New York, NY] 
Mobixell Networks provides the wireless infrastructure required for the delivery of rich media content to next-generation phones and PDAs.
INVESTORS: Apax Partners (Lead), Comverse Technology, Optibase, Siemens Mobile Acceleration GmbH

7. Vocera Communications Raises $3,300,000 in Fourth Round Add-on [Cupertino, CA] 
Vocera Communications is a wireless company specializing in the 802.11b sector.
INVESTORS: Cisco Systems (VC), Intel Communications Fund
