1. Kineto Wireless closes $24M second round
WLAN network roaming start-up Kineto Wireless has secured $24 million in second round financing led by 3i, Sutter Hill Ventures, and Venrock Associates, with participation from Mitsui & Company Venture Partners, SeaPoint Ventures, and Storm Ventures. Kineto Wireless develops network technology that allows Mobile over Wireless LAN (MoWLAN) roaming. MoWLAN technology boosts indoor cellular network coverage by allowing cellular subscribers to use their mobile phones through indoor WLAN networks.
2. Engim Raises $18,500,000 in Second Round [Menlo Park, CA]
Engim is a fabless semiconductor firm developing system-on-chip technology for broadband wireless communications solutions.
