TelASIC Communications is a fabless semiconductor company offering the BaseFlex chipset, a wideband radio chipset to support all major cellular air interface standards.

2. V-Enable Raises $3,750,000 in Series B Round [La Jolla, CA]

3. Sysgold Raises Funds [Miami, FL]
Sysgold is a provider of wireless software applications and mobile workforce solutions to enterprise customers.

4.. TelAsic snags $35M;
Wireless chip start-up TelAsic Communications yesterday announced $35 million in third round financing led by Raytheon with participation from Agilent Technologies, ComVentures, Mission Ventures, and Redpoint Ventures. TelAsic is a spin-off of Raytheon developing programmable chips for cellular network infrastructure. The company is currently negotiating business contracts with investors Agilent.
5. PicoChip Gets $17 million
Network infrastructure start-up picoChip has secured $17 million in second round financing from Pond Ventures and Atlas Venture. PicoChip's chip-based network solution is designed to cut the costs and deployment time of migrating existing cellular networks to 2.5G and 3G technology.
6. Boingo Raises Another $10 million US
Wireless LAN network aggregator Boingo Wireless Inc. announced that it has raised a second round of financing worth $10 million, bringing its total raised to date to $30 million.
7. Tachyon, Inc. (Tachyon),Gets $ 6 million
Tachyon provides carrier grade broadband satellite solution for large enterprises and government agencies.
West River Capital led the investment with a strong syndicate of investors including BV-Cornerstone Ventures, and Seaport Capital. Tachyon will utilize this financing to aggressively support current channel partners, build additional partner relationships and invest in new technology research and development.
