BC Hydro Selects eMobile Data for its Web-Based Wireless Mobile Resource Management Solution

eMobile Data Inc. announced today that BC Hydro, one of the largest electric utilities in Canada serving more than 1.5 million customers, has selected eMobile Data's Service-Link version 3.0 to meet its web-based Mobile Resource Management needs.

After BC Hydro's in-depth due diligence on automated dispatching solutions available from selected industry leaders, eMobile Data's offering of Service-Link 3.0 with its Java and XML based system architecture and open platform approach clearly emerged as the best-of-class solution.

eMobile Data will replace BC Hydro's existing dispatching system with its state-of-the-art solution, Service-Link 3.0, to be deployed on an Application Service Provider (ASP) basis. BC Hydro, as part of the agreement, will serve as a beta-test site for future versions of Service-Link, allowing BC Hydro to enjoy the benefit of always utilizing the latest software version, while giving eMobile Data the benefits of field testing its products in real-life situations and providing its development team with the valuable input of a working utility.

4) They have developed "expert" truck data entry processes that virtually eliminate requirement for training;
5) We will have ongoing input in the direction eMobile Data develops the product,"

Service-Link is a software solution that solves business problems and provides benefits to Field Service companies. Service-Link consists of four basic components: (a) web-based application server located anywhere in the world; (b) information exchange with the mobile field worker using a mobile computing device with a web browser; (c) an interface to a wireless air-time carrier to exchange mobile field information with the web-based internet server; and (d) integration into customer back office systems.
