Professionals and Travelers
ATLANTA
(September 11, 2000) – Synchrologic, the leader in synchronizing Business

and applications. This groundbreaking Web-based service is uniquely targeted
to the specific needs of business professionals and travelers. The free
service will be available in Q4 2000 with the enterprise edition released by
the end of the year. The
ReadySyncGo! synchronization service keeps basic day-to-day information in
sync between a user’s handheld PDA, wireless web phone, and home or office
PC or laptop. Calendar, address
book, itinerary, to-do list, and other data is synchronized effortlessly
between devices. The same data
is also available from any internet-connected PC via a web-based
application. Data
synchronization is fundamental to virtually all mobile computing form
factors,” said Jim Forbes, Executive Editor and Producer of DemoMobile.
“Synchrologic's ReadySyncGo! free Web service is the model we think
will win in this space. We've also been impressed by this company's track record in
mobile computing and its outstanding management team." ReadySyncGo!
acts as a personal assistant -- providing valuable information based on
travel and appointments. For example, based on a calendar entry, ReadySyncGo!
will automatically generate driving directions from the airport to your
appointment. The full itinerary
for the trip, including hotel, air, and car reservations with confirmation
numbers will be synchronized and available on any device at any time, along
with the current weather and forecast. Personalized alerts, such as flight
delays and meeting reminders, are also pushed to select devices. "ReadySyncGo!
serves as a public showcase of our ReadySyncGo! Enterprise product which is
designed for companies to use for internal deployment behind the company’s
firewall," explains Bill Jones, Vice President of Product Management
and Marketing for Synchrologic. "ReadySyncGo!
complements our iMobile Suite mobile and wireless infrastructure product,
providing a compelling foundation for corporations’ mobile computing
strategies. ReadySyncGo! is
also ideal for organizations such as wireless communications providers
looking to enhance their customers' experience with value-added
services." ReadySyncGo!
Enterprise offers rapid deployment and a quick return for organizations
taking steps to make mobile users more productive, while leveraging their
investment in mobile technologies. ReadySyncGo!
complements Synchrologic's iMobile Suite, which provides a comprehensive
infrastructure platform for deploying enterprise applications to mobile and
wireless devices. “Synchrologic
is delivering the essential elements for a corporation’s mobile computing
strategy, and ReadySyncGo! provides a very compelling way for a corporation
to get started delivering real value to its business professionals using
mobile technologies,” explained J. Gerry Purdy, Ph.D., President & CEO
of Mobile Insights, a leading market research firm in Mt. View, CA.
“ReadySyncGo! is the type of service that enterprise IT professionals will
find useful.” In
its initial release, ReadySyncGo! will synchronize PIM information between
Microsoft Outlook on multiple Windows-based PCs and laptops, and also with
Palm OS handhelds including the Palm VII or Handspring Visor.
The web-based application will work with Microsoft Explorer and
Netscape Navigator to provide anywhere access to data via the Internet.
ReadySyncGo! features full wireless phone support including the ability to
instantly access your full contact list and calendar from any wireless web
phone using Wireless Application Protocol (WAP).
Finally, wireless phones and pagers will benefit from personalized
alerts and messaging capabilities based on the Short Message Service (SMS).
To add the personalized content based on the user schedule, Synchrologic has partnered with MapQuest, a wholly-owned subsidiary of AOL, for driving directions and maps and with Accuweather for weather information.
