With the new two-way capabilities, Nextel Online subscribers can not only receive critical time-sensitive messages, but also originate and reply to those messages directly from their Nextel phone.

“We’ve been with Nextel since the beginning and have witnessed first hand the exponential growth of their messaging traffic,” said Steve Wood, CEO and president of Wireless Services Corp. “Finding innovating and unique ways to help people communicate has been a hallmark of Nextel’s service and one we’re proud to support through our wireless messaging capabilities.”

"We selected Wireless Services over several other competitors in the wireless messaging arena because of their proven technology platform and reliable track record of providing customer service on a 24 by 7 basis,” said Greg Santoro, vice president web-based services, Nextel Communications. “Nextel Online Two-Way Messagingsm, in combination with Nextel Direct ConnectÒ, will allow us to continue leading the industry in providing our customers with truly unique communication capabilities."
