Wapit Signs a Distribution agreement with Nokia Networks

Wapit has signed a distribution agreement with Nokia Networks for Wapit’s BulletinBoard. BulletinBoard can be embedded in the Nokia mPlatform Solution, which Nokia sells to operator and service provider customers around the world.

“Wapit’s agreement with Nokia speaks to the technological integrity of our company and products. As part of the Nokia mPlatform Solution, BulletinBoard will quickly reach mobile phone users worldwide,” said Wapit’s President Hannu Bergholm.

Wapit’s BulletinBoard gives mobile phone users an Internet-like home page on their mobile phones.

Mobile users can create, update, browse, search and read BulletinBoards on their phones. Security options ensure data privacy: BulletinBoards can be password protected or users can share access, including update rights. Owners name their BulletinBoards and so can choose to remain anonymous.

Users can communicate through their BulletinBoards via WAP or by sending SMS messages. Message senders may opt for anonymity by sending messages from their own BulletinBoards or they can choose to be identified by their phone number. BulletinBoard owners can close their pages if they don’t want to be contacted.

BulletinBoard is a useful schedule management tool, too. By requesting timed messages through their BulletinBoards, users can send notifications and reminders for themselves and others. Imagine posting the family shopping list on your BulletinBoard. Other family members can view and update the list and you will be notified of their changes. At the end of the day, how could you forget the toothpaste and the milk?
