Feb 11, 2000 - Phone.com acquires Paragon Software, a small British developer of synchronization software, for $500million.

Phone.com has acquired Paragon Software, a small British developer of synchronization software, for $500m.  The agreement, which has made certain members of Paragon Software's executive team multi-millionaires overnight, will see the 63 person organization being integrated into Phone.com's global operations.  Paragon has rapidly established itself as a leading provider of software which enables users to synchronize information with their mobile telephones.  FoneSync, Paragon's main product, is compatible with some 240 digital mobile telephones and a wide range of personal information management systems, including Microsoft Outlook, Yahoo and Excite@Home.
