SyncML Initiative Releases First White Paper

In less than three months following SyncML’s launch, founders of the SyncML initiative (Ericsson, IBM, Lotus, Motorola, Nokia, Psion, Palm Inc. and Starfish Software) have more than 150 registered supporting companies and delivered the first SyncML Architecture white paper. The SyncML initiative mandate has been to develop and promote the adoption of SyncML enabling seamless synchronization among a variety of data and devices.

The paper will enable device manufacturers, service providers and application developers to deliver SyncML-compliant products and services as soon as early 2001. Available on www.syncml.com, the architecture white paper contains a technical overview of the SyncML structural design.  The white paper also provides insight into SyncML for supporting companies interested in developing SyncML-compliant client or server implementations.
