Bonita Software Demonstrates Cross Platform Support for Wireless Internet Devices

Bonita Software Inc. introduced its ToGo™ Mobile Solutions and an API that enables service providers, device manufacturers and corporations to extend Bonita’s suite of personal applications (e-mail, expense reporting and enterprise directories) and existing set of enterprise applications to mobile workers regardless of Internet devices, from smart phones to in-vehicle computing systems.

The Solution features:

  • API based on Java implementation is platform independent.
  • A suite of personal applications, from email to expense reporting, that resides behind a corporate firewall.
  • Provisioning tools for quick deployment
  • Network sensitivity – meaning the ToGo Applications are operational even when working offline or in poor coverage areas.

For developers, ToGo™ API allows for existing applications to be available to J2ME (Java#153, 2 Platform, Micro Edition) enabled devices.

Mobileinfo Comments and Advisory: This appears as a Server-based solution that supports logically-persistent connection. Therefore it can take care of wireless network's inherent weakness of broken conversations and dropped transactions.
