NEWS PRODUCTS, SERVICES & APPLICATIONS Melard and Dynamic Mobile Data Target Service Companies Melard Technologies, Inc. and Dynamic Mobile Data, Inc. have entered into an alliance to meet the needs of the service organization that is dependent on a highly productive mobile work force. The companies will offer the tools, systems, and service to keep field workers in continuous contact to exchange real-time data, anywhere at anytime.The offering is based on the integration of Melard’s wireless data systems with DMD’s application solutions. A field worker equipped with Melards SIDEARM™, Windows CE-based ruggedized handheld, running DMD’s wireless applications, would be able to wirelessly exchange data in the harshest of environments. The ruggedized handheld, like Melard’s subnotebook or notebook, features built-in RF connectivity providing the field worker with real-time access to critical data. In addition, the SIDEARM runs the Intel StrongARM™ 206 MHz processor for high-speed data transmission and up to 16 hours of battery life. Even though service organizations are dependent on the productivity and efficiency of their field workers, they may not want the hassles of maintaining the intricacies of a wireless system. Knowing this, DMD launched its Network Operations Center (NOC) in March of last year.
