With the second largest mobile phone market, with 70 million subscribers, coupled with an expanding tourist industry, China is becoming an attractive market for wireless players such as San Francisco's Web Inc. com. The company has announced that it will provide wireless access to relevant information for guests and employees of Jia Cheng Hotel, a 5-Star establishment, in Changsha City, China.

Guests of the Chinese hotel will be able to wirelessly access Internet services such as weather forecasts, news reports, and other specialized tourist information via their mobile phones. Hotel employees, meanwhile, will be able to access the corporate intranet by way of hand phones equipped with a SMS service transmitter.

"There is a strong need in this industry for a high-tech management solution that enables [hotels and resorts] to research their customers as well as running their enterprises internally," said Nin Contreras, CEO of MyWeb Inc.
