NEWS TECHNOLOGY Data Dimensions Partners with Extended Systems To Offer Infrared Authorization Services to Wireless Device Manufacturers Data Dimension has entered into a licensing agreement with Extended Systems for its suite of infrared testing tools to enable wireless manufacturers to improve the quality of their infrared devices. Based on its extensive expertise in IrDA testing and software quality assurance testing, the Infrared Data Association authorized Data Dimensions labs as an official infrared testing lab. With Extended Systems suite of IrDA protocol test tools, Data Dimension will help device manufacturers improve the quality of their infrared devices to qualify for Infrared approval.Under the terms of the agreement, Extended Systems’ customers will be referred to Data Dimensions for premiere infrared implementation testing. A similar service was recently announced by Toshiba, Taiyo Yuden, and IBM Japan to test and authorize use of the Bluetooth logo to Japan manufacturers.
