NDI Unveils Handheld Datacomputer for Mobile Workforce Apps.

NDI Datacomputer, Inc. has unveiled its latest handheld Datacomputer that promises to meet the demands of the field worker working with complex applications in rugged, harsh environments.

The DC4CE™ operating on Windows CE is uniquely designed for mobile workforce applications such as sales force, utility, healthcare, hospitality, inventory and merchandising, the company said.

DC4CE’ s Specifications:

  • 80486 DX2-50 MHz CPU
  • 4 MB RAM standard expandable to 16 MB
  • 320x200, ¼ VGA display with 16 grayscales
  • Full-size, full-travel numeric keypad with compact QWERTY keypad
  • Stylus and support for software developed for Signature Capture, Mouse Emulation, and Touch Menu
  • O/S WinCE 3.0 on internal 4/8 Mbyte Flash Memory Board
  • Supports WinCE applications developed for x86 processors
  • PC Cards slots support either a single Type III or any combination of two TYPE I and Type II cards
  • Sealed case offers resistance against rain and other environmental elements
  • Weighs 32 ounces, without battery
