Synchrologic Launches ReadySyncGo!

One of the most difficult challenges facing an enterprise is ensuring that their mobile professionals have access to the most current information/data available regardless of the device used. Knowing this, Synchrologic has announcement the availability of ReadySyncGo!, a Web-based service that not only synchronizes PIM and relevant Web content, but also delivers up-to-date corporate data to mobile workers using virtually any mobile device. ReadySyncGo! supports SyncML, an open industry specification for universal data synchronization.

Synchronization of PIM and Web Content

  • ReadySyncGo! synchronizes PIM information to mobile users, ensuring that they have direct access to their entire list of contact numbers from their mobile device, regardless of which device the information was originally stored.
  • Through the company’s patent-pending Trip Manager and Appointment Manager, ReadySyncGo! users receive relevant, personalized Web content based on calendar entries, such as travel itineraries including flight schedules and hotel addresses.

Web Content is provided by the following:

  • MapQuest, provides driving directions and maps.
  • Worldspan, offers trip itineraries and travel reservations data.
  • Innovata, provides travel information about hotels and rental car agencies.
  • AccuWeather, provides current weather conditions and forecast information.

Corporate Design
ReadySyncGo! has been designed as a corporate product. It is a secure, scalable solution that enables the IT department to plug into existing intranets while leveraging the organization’s existing IT infrastructure. This allows the IT managers to oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of all mobile devices, the company said.

Commenting on the benefits of ReadySyncGo! to Firstwave, a CRM vendor, the company president Richard Brock said that they have integrated ReadySyncGo! into their eCRM 6.0 Suite, and now when a new prospect or service case is entered into Firstwave eCRM, the information instantly becomes available to our field and sales reps on their WAP phone and PDA, allowing them to have the most updated information.

MobileInfo Comments and Advisory:  Synchrologic has been offering, for some time, its iMobile Suite to keep mobile professionals of its clients synchronized with corporate information. Now they have announced a free service called ReadySyncGo to help those professionals whose corporate IT departments are too slow to move. This will entice these professionals to start trying these applications on their own and, in the process, create enough pressure on their IT staff to provide in-house services as soon as critical mass is reached.  We think that this is a very smart marketing initiative on the part of Synchrologic. We also like the fact that Synchrologic is providing personalized web content (add-on through Outlook and Lotus Notes - other platforms to come) that will give the professional personalized directions for his/her appointments and weather advisory based on professional's itinerary. It will also update professional's travel itinerary directly from the airline databases through Worldspan.

In our opinion, a combination of corporate synchronization solution in concert with a consumer solution is superior to the one that is based entirely on addressing the needs of an individual professional - an approach taken by Synchrologic's competition - fusionone and Intellisynch from Puma via Yahoo.
