Aether To Provide Enterprise Wireless Access for HP Jornada Pocket PC Users

Aether Systems Inc. has agreed to provide enterprise customers using HP Jornada Pocket PC wireless access to the Internet.

Aether’s data center will offer the following wireless ISP services:

Single point of purchase plan for enterprise customers
Real-time, wireless access to the Internet and e-mail
Access to enterprise custom applications such as sales force automation and field service software, and financial information
Custom wireless service

The Aether Intelligent Messaging software provides users with a fast, reliable and secure connection. Key features include data compression and encryption software.

In addition, Aether will work with Hewlett-Packard to co-brand the service and co-ordinate marketing and sales training efforts, as well as be responsible for managing the integration of the wireless services, fulfill product orders, and provide customer service.
