NEWS PRODUCTS, SERVICES & APPLICATIONS Cell-Loc Partners with Nortel Networks to Test Wireless Location Services In anticipation of the mass-market demand for wireless location-specific services, Cell-Loc Inc. has teamed with Nortel Networks to commence trials of a location-sensitive service via voice-activation in Texas this April. Subject to trial outcomes, wireless operators and services providers can expect the wireless Internet solutions to be available in the fourth quarter of this year.The new service combines the expertise and solutions of both companies.
The Trial
The companies said that the service will operate not only on existing networks and today’s mobile phones, but also will be accessible through other interfaces to support high-end PDAs and Internet-enabled phones.
