PassCall Unveils New Portal Platform to Change Mobile Portal

PassCall Advanced Technologies has unveiled its GateWave 2.1 platform which it claims will turn mobile portals into revenue-generating platforms; operators will have the ability to deliver content that is relevant to their subscribers in a format to suit their devices.

GateWave 2.1 provides mobile operators with a rich and diverse source of content and services that differentiates their portal in the increasingly competitive portal market, the company said.

Portal Manager: A key feature enabling operators to manage content, define the extent to which users can personalize their portal including advertising and sponsorship.

Intelligent transformation: An application that allows operators to intelligently transform, in real time, Internet content, market up in HTML, into content optimized for displaying on a host of devices.

Networks: Compatible with GPRS and 3G technologies thus extending the life of the investment.

According to Ben Wood, a mobile consultant with Mobile Lifestreams, dynamic, personalized content delivered in a range of formats will be central to a successful service portfolio on mobile portals. In the age of information overload mobile subscribers will demand only information pertinent to them in a format that suits them and the devices they are using.
