PointServe Acquires Brazen to Add Wireless Mobile Workforce Management System

PointServe, of Austin, Texas, announced that it has acquired Brazen Software, Inc., of Evergreen, Colorado, in a move to bring it closer to its realization of its Global Economic Optimization strategy.

Brazen’s flagship FLEETCOMM™ Workforce Management System, an automated wireless system for mobile workforce management, will become a key component of PointServe’s strategy. The Texan company’s economic optimization solutions are intended to facilitate the opportunity for increased revenue, improved customer service, and reduced operating costs, just to name a few.

"Our vision is to deliver economic optimization throughout the service supply chain, and then to collaborate with ERP, SCH, ORM, CRM systems, to optimize enterprises globally, explained Edward Powell, chairman and chief executive officer of PointServe. "The acquisition of Brazen is significant for PointServe as we realize this vision. Brazen’s FLEETCON product is a natural fit to wirelessly enable our optimization solutions," Mr. Powell added.

FLEETCON has a proven track record of providing companies, who are dependent on service technicians or field representatives, such as Time-Warner Cable New York and Pennsylvania Power and Light Acquisition, with optimized wireless dispatch, routing, and management capabilities.

The companies expect to target vertical markets in the coming year.

Mobileinfo Comments and Advisory: These are big words and big vision. Good ambitions but difficult to deliver.  Providing full economic optimization through ERP, CRM, and related systems - full supply chain using workforce management software is tough and requires tremenous systems integration skills. We invite PointServe to tell us they have those skills. We think that 's the realm of large integrators like IBM and ERP/CRM suppliers.  Let PointServe deliver a good front-end to multiple ERP and CRM operational systems. There is enough opportunity there.
