LogicTree Unveils Mobile Multi-Media Tech for 3G Networks

With the emergence of 3G networks and telematic services, LogicTree Corporation has introduced Mobile Multi-Media Technology™ (M3T) that is designed to provide simultaneous voice and graphical interaction for applications on GPRS and 3G mobile phones, the dashboard of luxury vehicles, and field service devices.

With in-vehicle M3T-enabled navigation applications, drivers can verbally request directions to a service or a destination and then receive graphical turn-by-turn directions. The keyboard-free access of M3T applications offers the driver not only convenience, but also allows them to keep their eyes on the road.

For carriers, ISPs, and corporations seeking to offer subscribers or employees voice-enabled access to information, Masoud Loghmani, CTO of LogicTree says, "M3T offers a growth path from existing services to GPRS and 3G, all while recovering their existing investments."

LogicTree’s VoxLinx™ Enhanced Service Soft Switch Platform, designed for voice access to data as well as connectivity to telephone networks, is at the core of M3T applications. In the words of Fred Korangy, CEO of LogicTree, "VoxLinx is firmly on the path towards becoming a premier platform for deployment of M3T applications for the next generation of wireless networks."

Mobileinfo Comments and Advisory: There is no magic in sending voice and graphical information to the car. Magic is in doing it in an optimized fashion.  We are not sure LogicTree is addressing that. Nonetheless, Telematics is a big field. Technology is not the tough part any longer. Relationships with auto companies and service providers are more difficult.
