iAnywhere Solutions Partners with PricewaterhouseCoopers To Deliver Mobile SAP Apps

In an effort to put core business applications in the hands of mobile workers, iAnywhere Solutions, a subsidiary of Sybase, Inc, has partnered with PricewaterhouseCoopers to develop and market wireless applications based on the e-business solutions software from Germany’s SAP.

PricewaterhouseCoopers brings expertise in SAP implementation while iAnywhere Solutions will offer its experience in developing mobile SAP extensions. The management consulting firm will deliver custom applications based on the iAnywhere™ Solutions™ m-Business technology platform, which includes the iAnywhere™Wireless Server and SQL Anywhere® Studio. In addition, iAnywhere will offer its mobile SAP applications such as TimeTracker for SAP R/3 for tracking on Palm-enabled devices.

The two companies will focus on offering the benefits of automated and mobile capabilities to SAP applications in such vertical markets as automotive, engineering, transportation, retail, and utilities. By providing wireless data access to field workers, the companies said that enterprises can expect to see improvement in productivity and customer service as well as reductions in administrative time and costs.
