NEWS PRODUCTS, SERVICES & APPLICATIONS Gravitate Platform Drives Location Technology San Francisco software firm Gravitate, Inc. signs a deal with location data company SigmaOne Communications Corp to integrate the Gravitate Platform into its Sign-5000 TDOA-AOA Location System™. SigmaOne, also based in California, can now offer a host of additional features supporting the development, deployment and delivery of location-based wireless Internet applications.Carriers are attracted to SigmaOne’s Location System because it enables them to locate mobile subscribers’ device using Time Difference of Arrival (TOA) and Angel of Arrival (AOA) and does not require them to modify their existing cellular handsets or infrastructure. The Gravitate Platform will function as manager and application server of the location data provided by the SigmaOne system for wireless devices, including cellular phones and PDAs.
