APPLICATIONS
Glaxosmithkline, Numoda Partner on Wireless Clinical Study
It was announced
today that GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) has signed a contract with Numoda
Corporation to deploy Numoda mTrial™ handheld software on Symbol®
Devices to automate patient screening and data collection for an
upcoming GSK clinical study.
The patented
Numoda mTrial and wireless client server technology facilitates the
screening and dosing of patients, and helps GSK solve a significant
logistics challenge. The Numoda mTrial mobile application replaces a
paper process used in previous trials.
"Numoda is excited to be paired with a company who understands
innovation within the pharmaceutical industry and the value of our
wireless expertise," said Mary Schaheen, President and CEO,
Numoda Corporation.
GSK selected
Numoda because they are the only third-party validated wireless
company that enables automatic, direct data-entry at the point of
care, and simultaneous transmission of that data to a central server
from several disparate locations. These data will be instantly
analyzed for the project manager and transmitted back to the trial
sites via Numoda's bi-directional wireless synchronization for
real-time decision-making.
