Motorola Invests in Electronic Message Management; Unique Platform Will Simplify Electronic Communications and Messaging

Motorola, Inc ‘s One Motorola’s Venture Capital Investment Funds made a strategic minority equity investment in Centerpost Corporation, which is presently creating a unique communication platform to improve the way in which electronic messages are received, organized and routed.

Centerpost technology enables electronic messages to be handled in a way that intelligently integrates existing email boxes, cell phones, pages, fax machines and telephones.   The Company’s first messaging solution B2MeT business is expected to provide enhanced communication between corporations and customers and a better way to organize messages. Motorola’s investment will help fund platform development and marketing.

Mobile Advisory and Comments: It appears that this will lead to unified messaging solutions. It is too early to tell whether it will be the preferred technology from Motorola. Motorola wants to bet on several horses in a strategic arena like unified messaging.
